CHRISTIAN SOIL

Scripture Reading - Mark 4:14-20

14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Group 1 -The way side are those who really aren’t interested in Jesus, they are not looking for righteousness but are comfortable yielding to the ways of the world and Satan.

16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Group 2 - These are baby Christians who desire the promises of God but haven’t learned how to feed properly on God’s Word and Spirit, thus their state remains offended so they don’t grow and see the goodness of God.

18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Group 3 – Is a large percentage of the Body of Christ, we are typically church goers and the word is taking root. However, cares about many things-relationships, jobs, national security, etc, the lack of money, hopes of being rich, questions about returns on giving, etc., Too much focus on receiving something else in life, dissatisfaction with their present condition is choking out the all powerful Word of God in their heart. So fellow believers during this holiday season please be focus on the Love of God coming to the earth to save your soul from eternal death. Keep your mind simple know that God love’s you and Jesus is the reason for this season. If you do that consistantly then you will be fourth group.

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. KJV

Group 4 - This is the group we desire to be a part of, why because they bring forth fruit. No! We desire this group because they are good ground, and all good ground brings forth fruit in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
